This case study follows a real-world initiative in Leuven, Belgium, where data-driven technical upgrades and a community "energy challenge" led to a 44% reduction in gas consumption. 

It demonstrates how collaboration between landlords and tenants, supported by digital visualisation tools, can empower residents to lower energy bills and improve living comfort.

We developed five Every1 Engagement Guides to offer clear, accessible insights for citizens, communities, and businesses. 

The first guide, “Guide to Energy Efficiency and Smart Technologies”, is available in six languages (German, Dutch, French, Portuguese, Greek, and Danish) and provides practical steps to optimise energy use. 

The remaining guides explore essential topics: “What is an Energy Community and Why Should I Join”, “What is the Digital Energy Transition”, “Empowering Businesses in the Digital Energy Transition”, and “Cybersecurity in the Digital Energy Transition”. 

Together, they form a comprehensive resource to support inclusive and informed engagement in the energy future.
