Recap: Every1 Project Meeting in Milton Keynes

In June 2025, Every1 project partners met in Milton Keynes, hosted by project partner The Open University, to assess progress, share new developments, and plan the project’s final phase.

During the meeting, our consortium members celebrated several key achievements:

  • Launch of the Every1 Knowledge Hub
    A dedicated digital platform offering tools, resources, and information to support public engagement in the digital energy transition.

  • New research insights
    Partners presented findings on how citizens are engaging with digital energy technologies and where further support is needed to promote active participation.
  • Progress in the “Every1 Goes Local” campaign
    This outreach effort connects directly with communities to promote local awareness, dialogue, and action.
  • Development of educational and engagement tools
    Our capacity building materials aimed at enhancing public understanding of the digital energy transition are being refined and expanded based on real-world testing.

"In addition to the strategic planning sessions, the team made the most of being together in person by taking advantage of the welcoming Open University campus and nearby towns to engage in hands-on collaborative activities.

  • Pilot testing of educational materials on The Open University campus, where students and staff engaged with climate and energy learning tools developed by the project.
  • Community interaction in Stony Stratford, where consortium members visited local residents and shopkeepers to explore perceptions of and engagement with energy-related challenges.
  • A guided visit to The Open University’s XR Lab, showcasing immersive technologies and their potential to support future citizen learning and digital inclusion.

What are the next steps?

As the Every1 project approaches its final phase, the focus remains on ensuring that the digital energy transition is both inclusive and participatory. The tools, research, and outreach strategies being developed aim to bridge the gap between technological advancement and citizen empowerment.
